The WESOS Foundation is on a mission to empower women by providing scholarships, mentoring and professional development opportunities to build economic empowerment through business ownership.

About The Foundation

The WESOS Foundation mission is to empower women who have been marginalized by society and economically disadvantaged due to lack of education, divorce, incarceration, housing insecurity, domestic abuse, traumatic event, or series of events. We aspire to have a diverse group of women who reflect all womanhood and will be inclusive of: racial diversity, age diversity, class diversity, and religious diversity.

Women have great untapped potential. Studies have shown that advancing women’s equality and participation as entrepreneurs, could ultimately boost the global economy by over $5 trillion. WESOS Foundation intends to provide mentoring, professional development, and scholarship opportunities to the women in its program.

WESOS Foundation works closely with the WESOS Network which is made up of thousands of women entrepreneurs from across the country. Networks are critical for small business success and WESOS Foundation is strategically poised to utilize its peer-to-peer network to encourage and support women, plan for growth and embrace innovation.  

Mentorship

Mentors support those navigating difficult situations, offer operational and logistical advice, and provide feedback on strategy and business plans, etc. 

Scholarships

Funds are periodically made available to help women entrepreneurs cover start-up costs for specific business needs.

Professional Development

Panel discussions, seminars, retreats, and one-to-one monthly conversations are designed to meet the needs of women business owners.

Our mission requires partnerships to thrive. Making a difference in someone’s life is a collaborative effort, as is everything within the WESOS organization.

We welcome partnerships from recognized 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 organizations who understand that a helping hand is only effective when coupled with support, investment and accountability.
